If your 256 Memory card is "Ram" next no. - Ram increses the ammount your computer can hold in it's "quick access bank" speeding up your computer.



If your 256 memory card is somthing close to a memory card for a cammera and your laptop has a slot that fits it, you COULD use it to put files on it.

256Mbs is not alot of space and you would not know how to use that space to install more games or programs on it.



The card would be a thing to put pictures on to verbs to a friends cammera or there laptop. That would be the most pratical use for it.



if you want more space on your laptop to put things on I would bargain to whoever made your laptop. It may be an IBM, Toshiba, or Dell, what ever it is. Talk to thim about getting a bigger not easy drive or trading the laptop in for a newer - more powerfull one.
