Some of my DVD's start playing on my laptop and the soundtrack is running contained by a loop but the movie itself never plays.
Brand new laptop using PowerDVD software.
Any suggestions?

Try a diff sftwr. Go here.
Blow through the disc drive because mabe the lens get dusty. Or go to best buy and buy a lens cleaner they raly work and are lone 12$ or clean the disc u want to play near windex all of thoose rellly work
A pious software to use to play DVD's is called "VLC" or "Video LAN". It's a free program, downloadable at the below website. It's worth a try.
