Change Intel Chip on Vaio TX?

I own the 'latest' Sony Vaio, TX47, which has the solo Intel chip - is it possible, or will it be possible, to upgrade the computer to the Duo 2 chip?

Answer:

sorry buddy, the tx47 is a different breed of notebook

note, it uses the u1400, 1.2 ghz processor surrounded by most probability

this is a ultra low voltage processor, not a normal t1x00 solo processor, or t2x00 / t2x50 duo

& the core 2 duo processors are t5x00 / t7x00, whose fsb is 667 mhz., whereas u'r fsb (u1400) i guess is 400 mhz

so, best forget any processor upgrade
It's possible, but you call for to make sure that alike model of Vaio is capable ob handlng the chip and is sold beside that currently. If it is, all you should involve is a firmware upgrade from the manufacturer (Sony). They use impossible to tell apart slots =)
No. The mainboard must also be chaged out and it must also fit that specific model notebook.
how to value
