I'm getting alike S.M.A.R.T. warnings on my Apple iBook for at least possible a month. I've backed it up every unsystematic I get, but the rock-hard drive isn't failing. Is it going to? Can it give impossible readings?
Answer:
I dont use it, I hold had messages on previous PCs and the concrete drives remained intact for years! Most PC mfgs dont even enable it!
The SMART system be supposed to give you some limitation ahead of time. Your'e lucky.
If it were my mac, I would draw from a nice new hurriedly hard drive that would be an upgrade to the laptop. I might image it from the old-fashioned drive. More than likely, the spanking new drive would get a fress install, and I'd copy my files over if needed.

Just remember that SMART is a deterrent device, basically it diagnoses your concrete disk behaviour to predict whether it's have data integrity problems. It cannot in reality predict when the hard disk will die.
So, it could administer warnings and the disk will die contained by 5 years, or show no problems but your hd could die tomorrow due to a problem with the hd's internal mechanism.
