Can you attach giga hertz to a laptop after you buy it?

I am within the process of getting a laptop but it doesn't have as much giga hertz as i want (3.06GHz). So i be wondering is there anything i can do to upgrade it. The laptop curently have 2.0GHz right now. Thank You

Answer:

No.

First, buying a laptop margins your ability to upgrade almost everything.

Second your "giga hertz" is the Prossesors Clock Speed and can not be changed minus replacing the Processor which is normally roughly speaking a quarter to half of the overall cost of your computer. Current Processors costs $200 to $2000.

When refering to Clock Speed what is designed is this is how fast your Processor executes instructions. An Intel Processor can execute 1 instruction per tick, current AMD Processors can execute almost 2 instructions per tick. The Hertz tell you how fast the clock ticks. The difficult the Hertz, the faster the ticks, the more instructions per second your Processor can execute.
You would have to buy a contemporary processor, and seeing as you're asking this question you would hold to have a professional install it for you.
you should check out this site where on earth you can get a sony vaio laptop for free
