can it burn and read dvd's?

I'm looking at a apple ibook but i want to know if it will read DVD's and will it write cd's?

depends on the model. But the strange ones do have DVD burners on the train. So if you're interested in a unique model, check the specifications of it on the Apple website.

more than likely have the capabilities,but unless you enjoy a program like nero,sonic video,power dvd,etc.self imagine their medium player is just resembling every other one and dont have the encoder or decoders so plan on that first.if it is a brand-new apple it probably have one,but its only a trial revision and it allows you only so much time and controlled formats so id draw from nero 7 and by-pass the BS.
if you buy a brand new one it will, but a elder model it might not. it all depends on which model and the software that comes next to it.
