My laptop mobile was running out and the laptop started to hibernate, but it miraculously started up again...I'm not sure if i pushed a button or not. The mobile meter even read 0% and I was competent to use the laptop for another 15 minutes.

maybe it be standby and not hibernate.
That same thing happen to me once I don't know why it does that. Let me know what you find out.
It will have tried to start, ignore battery level.
Most laptops do this, it gives you sufficent time to squirrel away your work.
Also, if you do as you said above, then the Hibernation will not work correctly, cause glitches.
If your computer is like mine, it have a short reserve to allow you to close out programs etc so you don't loose your work.
