Can someone recommend a righteous defragmenting tool for win xp?
Answer:
The best one I've found is Auslogics Disk Defrag. it's much faster than Windows.
http://www.auslogics.com/disk-defrag/ind...
the one that comes near it.
click start > all programs > frills > system tools > defragment
XP has its own defrag tool. Go: Start ->run-> and type surrounded by the empty space 'defrag' and enter.
Rest is adjectives automated.
I suggest diskeeper (www.diskeeper.com). If you want to pay you will return with a brilliant application. However, the free version Diskeeper Lite, whilst no man much of an improvement on the Windows defragmetor, is the best you will bring back with out paying.
The Windows Defragmenter utility works tremendously well, but a technique used to really do the available job well is to boot the computer into Safe Mode by rhythm the F8 key as the workstation boots up. Once in Safe Mode, after run the Windows Defrag utility. Once that job is done, lately reboot into regular Windows mode. Hope this helps.
