I used print peak all the time on my old-fashioned computer but it just doesn't give the impression of being to work on my new advent laptop. I enjoy tried alt and numlock. It's got to be something obivous. thnak you

You'd be much better past its sell-by date using a screen occupation than Print Screen. Get Screenhunter, it's free.

and you can capture only just the bits you want instead of the whole eyeshade. You can then mash the capture straight within your document or save it as a separate jpg to use latter.

Have you tried Shift and PrintScreen?
Read your laptops manual. On my Dell laptop I enjoy to press Function key and after print screen.
After you click Alt-Numlock (assuming to be precise the correct key...most laptops I enjoy seen print eyeshade was it's own button) did you be in motion into Paint or Word and try to paste the screenprint?
