Compare both modules, If they look the same, check the stickers on them and product sure they are the same type. If yes, you should be honourable to go. If the bump fits correctly and it does end up one wrong you will get an error on the startup.
The two machines probably own different memory. so, the answer would be no.
It depends on the laptop model and what kind of memory it uses. I woudl turn to www.toshiba.com and find out which memory each laptop uses. You can other added the memory chip (it is fits) and see if the laptop boots up. You will know right away if it doesn't work or not.
